Private Piano Lessons for Preschoolers

I am now offering a unique and valuable music lesson experience just for preschoolers! This option offers private music lessons to kids ages 3 1/2-5 years old using a method called Wunderkeys. Wunderkeys has been designed specifically for preschoolers, and it offers something different from a typical preschool music class. It's a one-on-one piano program that teaches early music and piano concepts and keeps preschoolers excited, motivated and begging to learn more! The goal of these piano lessons is to provide young children with a positive and encouraging customized first music experience and teach them the skills they will need to succeed in future musical learning.

Using puppets, games, music and lots of hands on activities, here are a few of the concepts we will learn during preschool piano lessons:

symbol to sound recognition
independent finger practice
aural awareness
playing long/short/high/low sounds on the piano
learning math skills that aid in musical understanding
learning rhythmic musical patterns
preliminary note reading and directional note movement

During our lessons, children will spend time both on and off the piano bench participating in musical activites that are designed to build their confidence and solidify musical concepts. Songs, rhymes, games and imaginative activities help to keep preschoolers engaged in the learning process, and teacher/student duets allow them to play the piano beginning at their very first lesson!
